Several partners and members have resource material for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (18-25 January): United Church of Canada, National Council of Churches in India

Hidden Figures—the movie about a group of brilliant female African-American mathematicians that aided NASA during the space race—took the second spot at the box office in its first weekend of wide release in the United States. The movie features the story of Katherine G. Johnson, a longtime Presbyterian and 2015 Presidential Medal of Freedom awardee.

Wes Granberg-Michaelson, former general secretary of the Reformed Church in America and our representative to the Global Christian Forum, has written an essay: Where Protestantism Went Wrong: The 500th anniversary of the Reformation calls for repentance as well as celebration.

Despite inclement weather, more than 100 people gathered at Rehoboth (New Mexico, USA) Christian Reformed Church on January 2 for a service of repentance for injustices toward Native Americans that happened at Rehoboth Christian School. The school was founded by Christian Reformed missionaries more than 100 years ago.
