WCRC Church News: Celebrations, Communications, Positions and a Poem

The Presbyterian Church in Taiwan celebrated 150 years of mission and ministry at their recent general assembly. They’ve posted news, video and pictures on both their Facebook page and a news page.

Delegates from the Christian Reformed Church recently joined with other participants in the ongoing Roman Catholic-Reformed Dialogue in the United States to release a statement praising Pope Francis for “his servant heart” and “his intentional compassion for those on society’s margins.”

Our sisters and brothers in the ACT Alliance have opened an office for Latin America in El Salvador.

How does one pray on the internet? What are the best virtual avenues for religious communication? A gathering of pastors and professors in Loccum, Germany, will discuss these and other questions in mid-November and among them will be the Rev. Lawrence Richardson, digital evangelist of the online Extravagance UCC.

Our sisters and brothers in the Council for World Mission (based in Singapore) are recruiting a number of staff.

From Redcrearte comes a poem dedicated to the peace process in Colombia:
