Theme Songs

The 2017 General Council invites you to worship together with churches from around the globe under the theme “Living God, renew and transform us” (Romans 12:1-2).

When we joined in worship at our gathering we trust that we found comfort and strength, sharing the stories of the Bible as well as the stories of our lives, bringing before God our hope and our pain.

Several songs have been newly composed to reflect on the theme of the 2017 General Council. They are drawn from a wide range of countries and styles, and it is our hope that the music will be accessible and a rich aid to our worship.
