WCRC Church News: Unity, Losses and Love

A community of North American Christians who are not seeing Christian teaching or values represented in their churches, communities, and politics when it comes to immigrants has started a new movement: Immigrants Are a Blessing, Not a Burden.

Watch as two North American united and uniting churches–the United Church of Christ and The United Church of Canada—document a Full Communion Agreement, and celebrate their partnership through worship, word and sacrament.

One of the WCRC’s important partnerships is with the PC(USA)’s ministry to the United Nations. Through our work together, we’re able to bring issues of justice to countries around the world. Read more about this ministry, especially as it pertains to gender justice.

The National Council of Churches of India mourns the sudden and unexpected loss of its president, Bishop Dr Taranath Sagar.

The WCRC has received a request from our sisters and brothers in Indonesia for prayer and support. Sparked by controversy over the building of new churches, several existing churches in Singkil, South Aceh, were burned by intolerant Muslim mobs earlier this week–and others have since been torn down by the government.
