Member Church News: Assisting and Advocating

Imagine this scenario: you are 12 years old and almost 2,000 miles away from the only home you’ve ever known. All you want is to be reunited with the family for whom you’ve traveled to the United States. To aid children like you, United Church of Christ-related Bethany Children’s Home in Womelsdorf, Pennsylvania, is providing shelter, resources and services to reunite you with your family.

This Palm Sunday Uniting Church members will join thousands of others across Australia calling for fair, compassionate and just policies for refugees and asylum seekers.

The Protestant Church in the Netherlands is exploring ways in which village churches can assist asylum seekers.
